POOR weather caused both pre-season games against Ilkley and Driffield, due to be played last weekend at Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club, to be cancelled.
However, the pre-season Sunday lunch was held with 60 people present in the clubhouse for a very enjoyable event, well organized by Alasdair Swann. The coming weekend will be another opportunity to prepare for the coming League season as the club’s three sides each have a preparatory fixture.

Saturday April 19 - 2nd XI (h) v Stamford Bridge; Sunday April 20 - 1st XI - (h) v. Beverley; Sunday April 20 - 3rd XI - (h) v Heworth. (All start at 2.00pm.)

Junior Practice Nights begin Friday 18 April at the ground, 6.30-8.00pm. For boys and girls aged 7 to 16 years. For further details ring Jon Bean on 01904 763800.
