LAST Sunday a little cluster of hardy souls from Pocklington Runners made the journey over to Rothwell near Leeds to run in their annual 10Km Road Race - and with the day's conditions being ideal with a light cool breeze and a nice scenic and enjoyable course to face, they all accredited themselves well.
First Runner to cross the finishing line for Pocklington making his return to racing was Dave Wragg who had a very good solid run and came away with a time of 47:00. Hot on his heels and only a matter of strides behind Dave came the in-form Paul Sheridan recording a time of 47:05.

The next two Runners ran the entire race together with Brian Dobson encouraging and coaching Louise Warren all the way round. They crossed the line in 48:13.

Julie Dunn was the next finisher in an impressive performance of 59:15 that showed all her hard training is now paying off.

Pocklington’s last two finishers were both making a return to racing and they managed to race in sight of each other but in the end it was Kath Bee who managed to get to the line first in a time of 63:06 with Steve Fletcher- completing his first race following a serious operation - crossing the line in 63:15.
