Following on from the success of last year's inaugural Yorkshire Open Polo Championships, the White Rose Polo Club at North Cliffe near Market Weighton will host the 2008 event this weekend (Saturday and Sunday 16 and 17 August.)
This year a total of ten teams will compete, including a side travelling all the way from Scotland to take part. To ensure that club members of varying abilities are able to take part, there are two trophies for different handicap levels.

Gates open to the public at 10.30am on both days. Admission is £10 per car and visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic. Four matches will be played on each day.
