Pocklington U155

Tadcaster Magnets U151

It was a comprehensive win for Pocklington in a one-sided game against Tadcaster last Sunday.

Pocklington put on a fine first half display by playing some nice controlled football and creating a number of chances.

They took the lead after 15 minutes with a looping shot from Josh Peters. Further pressure produced another well taken goal with George Parkin scoring with a neatly placed shot.

Jack Anderson then seized on a loose ball to fire home and give Pock a 3-0 lead at half time.

The second half was played at a slower pace with Pock having many opportunities to extend the lead. Tom Reay converted one of these many chances after taking the ball around the goalkeeper and placing it into the empty net.

Tadcaster had a good little spell of play which enabled them to get a consolation goal, before Jack Anderson scored his second goal of the match to give Pocklington a final winning score of 5-1 and keep them in top position of the league.
