Ex-soldier Eric Sandham is a familiar face on the streets of Scarborough in the run up to Remembrance Day.
As a dedicated member of the Royal British Legion, Mr Sandham sells poppies near to Marks and Spencer in Newborough, in a bid to raise hundreds of pounds each year for fellow servicemen who fought to defend Britain.

He said: "The poppy appeal is incredibly important. We must remember, we aren't just collecting for those in the World Wars, but all wars, such as Iraq. There's lads out there fighting for us now."

Eric speaks to the camera with this moving tribute.
