Letter: Why are we all paying for The Oak House revamp?

Development work the Oak House, Pocklington.
Development work the Oak House, Pocklington.

The Oak House revamp, as James Duffy says, has been funded by The Arts Council and Pocklington Town Council – and that means tax payers – among others by at least £75,000.It may end up more with that building.

Can he say how much the other three he quotes have given, in particular the arts centre itself? Is he saying that the arts centre is making money? Why are we paying tax for it?
