With reference to Memory Lane pictures in the Pock Post (11 February). It was me holding the wooden trophy!

I had been representing England as part of the team competing in the Orienteering Veterans Home International against Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The trophy is made from a piece of wood from York Minster.

On Sunday 21 February I was once again with the England team, this time in Belgium for another international competition. Our team was composed of juniors, seniors and veterans.

Orienteering is a great sport for families and individuals whatever your age!

Visit the local club’s website at eborienteers.org.uk for more information on orienteering.
