Letter: The Government is stretching NHS resources

The Government just wants to appear to be delivering a seven day week service using an NHS that is already understaffed.
The Government just wants to appear to be delivering a seven day week service using an NHS that is already understaffed.

The publicity surrounding the junior doctors seems to suggest it is all their fault and they do not care about their actions.

I suggest it is the other way round. The junior doctors are very caring and know that by agreeing to these conditions that patient service and safety will be put under huge risk.

The Government just wants to appear to be delivering a seven day week service using an NHS that is already understaffed, with the same number of staff.

Negotiation is two-way, the Government cannot impose conditions just because that is what they want.

We do not live in a dictatorial society.
