A World War Two bomber pilot who flew from RAF Pocklington during the conflict is planning to return to the town to talk about his wartime experiences.

om Sayer is in his 93rd year, but he is hoping to drive up from his Kent home to give a talk in All Saints’ Church, Pocklington, on 10 May. The talk, which Tom has titled ‘I Was There - The Story of a Pilot in Bomber Command at RAF Pocklington’, will be the final event in the 2015 Flying Man Festival, the annual weekend event staged by All Saints’ that embraces all things aerial.
