Villagers in Stamford Bridge gathered in the village hall car park to hear tributes paid to a woman who devoted a large part of her life helping others.
Anne Lyus, who was a member of Stamford Bridge Parish Council and the village hall committee, died from motor neurone disease a year ago.
Those who spoke at the event include Bryan Lawson, chairman of Stamford Bridge in Bloom, Chris Kealey, chairman of the parish council and Tom Wyles, vice chairman of the village hall, who have also served on both the council and village hall committee with Anne.
Also at the event, a tree was planted next to the village hall and dedicated in Anne’s name.
More than 50 people, including members of Anne’s family, attended the event.
Mr Lawson said: “Anne was a small lady with lots of gusto. A very active lady. She did a lot of great work for the community.”
