Two Guides from the 3rd Pocklington Guide unit have achieved their Baden-Powell awards, the highest award for Guides.

Their badges and certificates were presented by the Division Commissioner for the North Wolds West Division and a party was held afterwards.

In order to complete the Baden-Powell award, Guides have to complete 10 wide ranging challenges covering five different areas of Guiding: healthy lifestyles, global awareness, discovery, skills and relationships and celebrating diversity.

The award culminates in a residential Baden-Powell Adventure visit.

Leader Anne Thomson said: “The girls have worked very hard, had fun and have taken part in all sorts of activities to earn their awards.”
