A group of Year 6 boys from Warter School are celebrating after winning a major prize in the Humberside Police Lifestyle 2014 competition.

The ‘Warter Five’ were awarded their prizes of a day trip to Silverstone motor racing circuit at a glittering Awards ceremony at Hull City Hall that was attended by over 1,200 people.

The boys, Ted Baty, Lucas Gardner, Devlin Hunt, Johnny Raper and Arthur Whelan, cleared an area of woodland in the village of Nunburnholme to create a haven for wildlife as their project. They were supported by Sam Gardner as the adult adviser and Hull ethical company Bio-D who provided a picnic bench.
