Children of Newlands School Yorkshire celebrated autumn with the residents of Scaife Garth Sheltered Housing Association, Pocklington.

Drama, storytelling, poetry and song entertained the residents. The children also shared harvest festival gifts.

The gifts were donated by friends and family from the school, including the Montessori Nursery.

After the performance, the children and residents engaged in conversation. The residents sharing their memories of Autumn and harvest festivals. This was very much appreciated.

Gloria, the site warden, said: “The children are a delight and are most welcome.”

Miss Arber, the recently appointed headteacher, outlined her plans to expand the social contact in the local community.

She said: “This is such a lovely project, an opportunity for all to feel valued.”
