Green-fingered members of Stamford Bridge in Bloom were delighted when Stamford Bridge Brownies got in touch and offered to donate the two yellow and blue bikes they had painted for the Tour de Yorkshire to the group.

These bikes were positioned on and by the bridge in village during the race, along with bunting also made by the Brownies.

Stamford Bridge in Bloom is now going to position one by the infant school bike sheds and one at the entrance to the village from Bridlington Road onto Burton Fields Road as a lasting memory of this year’s event.

Baskets and flowering plants will be added to the bikes to complement Stamford Bridge in Bloom’s displays throughout the village in anticipation of the Yorkshire in Bloom judging in July.
