Members of Weighton Wolds Rotary Club are flying high after paying a visit to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Operation Centre near Wakefield.

This followed their donation of £1,200 to the Air Ambulance, which was raised by holding a Classic Car Show at Langlands Garden Centre in Shiptonthorpe last August.

The Classic Car Show will be held again this year on 30 August at the same venue and entries are now being taken. It is hoped there will be 100 cars on display.

Entry forms and further information is available from John Ducker on 07860 638119.

Langlands is also the venue for The Friends of Ferguson Heritage Ltd ‘Indoor Winter Gathering’ on 31 January and 1 February. On display will be vintage tractors, cars, garden machinery and stationary engines. More information about this event is available from Andy Tresize on 01759 305838 or Robert Ducker on 01430 873426. Donations will be given to the Air Ambulance.
