A THEATRE group are gearing up for their latest production, which will hit the stage of Pocklington Arts Centre next week.

The Wolds Wonders, the theatre group for local people with mental or physical disabilities, will be performing what they have called their “Showcase Event” - a series of dances and improvised variety acts.

Samples from the show were performed before the recent Pocklington Presents Talent Show held in front of packed-out Arts Centre crowd.

However, over 20 dedicated cast members will be strutting their full repertoire next Wednesday, 15 June.

Julia Gregory, who has been helping to direct the show, said: “It will be a showcase of the work they have learnt in recent dance workshops, and will feature a variety of theatrical and dance skills.

“It will be enjoyable and there’s some laughs in there. A lot of effort has gone in to this and they all really enjoy doing it.”

Tickets are £3 per person and can be bought on the door or prior to the performance, which begins at 1pm.
