Children, teachers and staff at Warter Primary School celebrated their very own Culture Week!

The children sampled food from all over the world each day for their school lunch.

As part of Culture Week, Owl Class at Warter Primary School enjoyed an Ancient Greek Day arranged by ‘Hands on History’. The day supported and enhanced their ‘Ancient Greeks’ history topic.

The children took part in a series of workshops; investigating Greek artefacts and finding out about science and medicine, Greek warfare and the Olympic Games.

At lunchtime, the children enjoyed a Greek-themed meal of moussaka, Greek salad and lemon and honey cake.

Children from Red Kites Class went to Pocklington Library to listen to a traditional Chinese story followed by a visit to Mr Chu’s in Hull for a Chinese lunch and activities!
