Warning about bogus phone calls

Trading standards officers from East Riding Council are warning residents not to give out personal details over the phone after receiving a number of complaints about bogus calls.

Officers have had a number of reports from people saying they had been contacted by someone claiming to be from East Riding Council asking for personal details relating to a recent car accident.
