Last year The Holme on Spalding Moor Village Hall committee applied for a grant for a new boiler from Awards for All, part of the Big Lottery Fund.

They received £5,000 towards the cost of a boiler, which has now been fitted.

The new boiler is more energy efficient and will help secure the future of the village hall for the community.

This is one of a series of improvements the village hall Committee are making to improve the facilities.

Regular users of the village hall are Thursday Club, Mothers and Toddlers, Badminton (ladies and mens), Keep Fit, Whist, Bridge, Youth Club, Slimming World, Indoor Bowls (in the winter) and the local WI.

There is also a tabletop every two months, and the next one will be held on Saturday, 26 March from 9am to noon.

Other users of the hall are the church for the Church Lunch and the Methodist Chapel for its Summer Fair.

There is also a pantomime in the hall and last year the school held their Christmas production in the village hall.

It is also used for meetings, coffee mornings, birthday parties, wedding receptions, etc. If you are interesting in making a booking, please call Lesley White on 01430 860447.
