The heart is a vital organ of the body, without it we would die.
We all know someone who has suffered from heart trouble or needed surgery,someone who has had to change their lifestyle dramatically to let their heart recover its strength.
As well as looking after our physical hearts we have a ‘heart’ which is the centre of our feelings and the root of our thoughts and will, and it needs looking after too. We use this idea of our heart in everyday phrases which are very common.
A good-hearted person is well intentioned and welcomed by all. The opposite is probably true for the one who is hard- hearted or cold-hearted.
