Have your say

We have just began the New Year, 2016. What does year have in store for us?

Before, I go any further, let me take the opportunity to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! It is my sincere prayer that the God of Heaven, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will grant you and your family a wonderful 2016!

Many of us experienced difficulties, challenges and trials of different proportions during the past year.

Some of us did not know how we were going to cope with either the pain of bereavement, loss, separation or illness. But, God in his abundant mercies, love and grace saw us through.

You may not know this but God expressed his love for you in the circumstance you had to deal with or might still be dealing with through close family and friends.

These people were there by your side, encouraging and comforting you in the pain.

He sent these special people into your life as his angels to bring a smile, a light touch and comfort along the difficult path.

I don’t know about you, but I always take some time to look back at the end of the year and reflect on the life events that I have experienced. I thank God for being with and enabling me to see the beginning of a New Year. I then humbly ask God for his guidance and direction for the year ahead.

This year, what I hear the Lord is saying is this: no matter how life treated you in 2015, “You can begin again!”

Listen to His Words “I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands.” (Isaiah 43:19 CEV).

Dear friend, God is about to do something new in your life that will confound yourself and your critics. All you need to do is put your trust in Jesus and tell him what you want him to do for you. He loves you and will answer your requests brought to him in sincere acknowledgement of His presence.

God is gracious to all who would humbly acknowledge and ask for his help.

What you need to do my friend, is to believe in him and gather courage to ask him specifically what you need.

He’s got the answer to your problem or needs as part of his goodness.
