Pocklington Arts Centre is holding an open morning this month for members of the public to view its first floor area before major refurbishment work commences in October.

During the event, on 19 September, from 9.30am-12.30pm, 3D plans will be on display with members of the venue’s management team and Pocklington Town Council on hand to show people round the building and to answer any questions regarding the project. The work is being funded via a £354,000 grant from Arts Council England in addition to funding from the town council, the arts centre and the Friends of Pocklington Arts Centre.

Meanwhile, the venue is hosting a film poster auction on Saturday (12 September) at 10am to raise funds for the first floor refurbishment. Customers can bid for their favourite film poster from the last two years, with titles such as Paddington, 50 Shades of Grey, The Second Most Exotic Marigold Hotel, Furious 7 and The Avengers available. A full list is available from the box office along with bidding forms.
