Town Councillor appointed

A new councillor was appointed to Pocklington Town Council last week, as councillors moved to fill the vacancy left by Tony Marron who left the council earlier this year.

Three people expressed an interest in joining the council but eventually Tiffany Barker was selected for the role. Richard Wood, clerk at Pocklington Town Council, said: “The council was very pleased with the standard of applicants and it was a very difficult decision deciding who to appoint.

“Tiffany has been involved with young people’s projects in the town and we are very happy to welcome her onto the council.”
