Wholecrop Marketing Limited (WCM) has announced it will host its annual pre-trials charity golf day and dinner at the KP Golf Club on Wednesday 29 July 2015.

This year WCM has chosen to raise money for the Harrogate District Hospital Special Care Baby Unit and The Daisy Appeal.

A spokesman for WCM said: “We have almost a full complement of teams with some competitors coming from as far afield as Cornwall and Scotland.

“Prizes will be awarded for nearest the Pin, longest drive on the 18th hole and the top three team scores.

“Dinner only guests will be welcomed from 6.30pm onwards. We are expecting approximately 100 guests for the dinner. A three course meal will be served at 7.30pm with prize giving and after dinner entertainment in the form of comedian Martin Gold.

“This charity golf event has increased in popularity year-on-year and we hope this year will be no exception.

“The morning following the golf event, WCM will host a Trials Day at Low Grange Farm, Shiptonthorpe, Market Weighton.

“On display will be over 45 potato varieties, new and traditional varieties.

“We will also have a number of static displays including WCF Fuels, Caithness Potatoes, HZPC, Agrico, IPM, KWS, Greenvale, Cygnet and Grampian Growers to name but a few.”

The golf day will start with refreshments and team registration at 12 noon.
