The Market Weighton Social Club is being transformed into a small French café for two nights this month in the latest venture by the town’s amateur thespians.

The Market Weighton Community Players are bringing ‘An Evening at the Café Rene’, their own version of the hit BBC comedy, ‘Allo ‘Allo, to the town on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November, at 7pm, at the Social Club on Southgate.

Peter Warner plays Rene and there will be some entertaining performances of other characters including Michelle, the two bumbling airmen and the man who said “Good Moaning”. Tickets are £5 and can be bought from The Post Office and the Paper Shop, High Street, Market Weighton.
