The grateful parents of a Pocklington youngster have thanked people for helping to improve her life.
Clare and Richard Shepherdson’s daughter Isabel has a condition where the the left and right side of the brain cannot communicate properly, called agenesis of the corpus callosum.
Isabel, aged four, also has epilepsy and is visually impaired.
Her parents contacted Pocklington and Market Weighton Round Table to ask if they would be able to help them fund a special needs trike, enabling Isabel to enjoy the outdoors more with her mother, father and 10-year-old sister Josie.
The organisation managed to raise £300 for the trike, which cost about £1,300, through an abseil down All Saints’ Church at this year’s Flying Man Festival in Pocklington and other fundraising events.
