International speakers are set to give talks at a TEDx event in Pocklington, which aims to educate people with a passion for innovation, education, communication and arts.

Law firm rradar, which is hosting the event, is working with TEDx to provide inspiration and education within the event, which will include leading technology designers, inspirational speakers, international visual artists, spoken word professionals and business professionals, including the head of B2B Marketing at Google UK.

The event will take place at Pocklington’s School Tom Stoppard Theatre next Thursday (28 May), from 8.45am to 5.30pm.

TED is a nonprofit organisation devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED began in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, and today covers almost all topics, from science to business to global issues, in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
