A ‘kidnapped’ teddy bear and a Full Monty performance helped raise hundreds of pounds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A variety of events took place at The Griffin Inn, on Market Place, Market Weighton, in aid of the charity.
The fundraiser, organised by Julie Hill, from Market Weighton, featured live bands all day and there was a sponsored head shaving.
The Full Monty was performed by a group of local men. A teddy bear was used to help raise £300 as he was ‘kidnapped’ twice for ransom money, which Julie says was “all part of the fun.”
She added: “It was a full fun-packed day, and hopefully we will help to save more lives. A special thank you to Sally Smith at The Griffin Inn for holding the event for us and helping to make it a very successful day.”
A total of more than £700 was raised on the day for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
To raise more funding for the charity, a fancy dress night will be held at The Griffin Inn on Saturday night. The theme is black and white.
