More than £80,000 will be spent this year on alleviating Market Weighton’s flooding problems.

In July last year, nearly 100 houses and businesses in Market Weighton were flooded following heavy rainfall. In an effort to understand the situation properly and protect properties in the future, East Riding Council commissioned a report under Section 19 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
