An all-female team from The Star @ Sancton is hoping to raise lots of money for Cancer Research by taking part in the 2016 ‘Pretty Muddy’ Race For Life.

Lindsey Cox, who owns and runs the award-winning pub alongside her husband Ben, will be competing in the five-kilometre race at York on Saturday (June 25) alongside front-of-house employees Helen Butler and Jillian Martin, as well as their good friend Gemma Wallace.

Lindsey said: “We’ve each had someone close to us who has been through cancer and feel it’s an important thing to do. My mum has just had stem cell treatment and I just wanted to give something back for the fantastic care she received.”
