Specialist teams are searching the River Derwent at Stamford Bridge again today following reports that a woman entered the water on Saturday evening.
Humberside Police received a call on Sunday afternoon (April 2) reporting that a 47-year-old woman was missing.
Officers investigations led the police to believe a woman had entered the water on Saturday evening.
Dive teams were called to Stamford Bridge on Monday April 3 and Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue has also assisted in the search.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "Intensive searches of the river and the bank along the stretch of water from the bridge at Stamford Bridge towards Elvington over the past few days have been undertaken.
"If anyone has information that would help the police with their enquiries please call the non-emergency number 101 and quote log 331."
