Stamford Bridge Primary School pupils enjoy the special food and farming day held by Driffield Agricultural Society.

This year Driffield Agricultural Society held a special food and farming day with the intention of educating children on where their food comes from.

It also aimed to give them an insight into the people and machinery that help to run our local farms.

The children got the chance to see farm machinery in action and all kinds of farm animals during the food and farming day.

Class 5 were lucky enough to attend the day and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Children got the chance to see all kinds of animals. We saw alpacas, pigs, sheep, shire horses and gun dogs and asked questions to the owners and experts to learn as much as we could!

In the main arena we were given the opportunity to learn about the latest in farming machinery and even see some of it in action.

The children thought the new combines were particularly impressive!

Thank-you to all the farmers and organisers at the show ground for making the day so entertaining. See you next year!
