The Side Oven and Carr House Farm is gearing up for its next open day this Sunday (5 June).

The popular venue will be open between 10am and 3pm with guided walks around the organic farm setting off at 10:30am and 1:30pm.

After last year’s success, when over 400 people visited the Foston on the Wolds farm, the Side Oven staff are gearing up for another busy day.

Jessica Sellers, of the Side Oven, said: “We had a great day last year and after so many lovely comments from visitors we felt we wanted to be part of the Open Farm Sunday event again.

“It’s lovely to have so many visitors on our organic farm to understand how we farm and to see the positive impact organic farming has on the land and the wildlife. This year we also have some brilliant demonstrations lined up to celebrate traditional rural skills.

“Our bakery will also be bursting with a wide range of freshly baked breads.”

Traditional Skills Demonstrations include spinning wheel, chair caning and clip rug demonstrations.

Admission to the open day is free.
