Embergency services rushed to North Cave today following a serious traffic collision which left two people in Hospital.
The collision, between a black BMW and a Silver VW Passatt, occurred shortly after 11am on the A1034 between South Cave and Market Weighton.
Police vehicles and four fire engines from Hull and Market Weighton were sent to the scene where the female driver of the BMW and the 40-year-old male driver of the Passatt were both trapped in their vehicles.
The drivers of both cars had to be freed using cutting equipment and a female passenger in the BMW, thought to be in her 40s, was also treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The female driver, who is believed to have sustained serious injuries, was airlifted by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance with the male driver, whose injuries are not yet known.
Police closed the A1034 following the collision and anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Humberside Police on the 101 non-emergency number quoting log 225 of 16 August.
