School bus involved in crash

A school bus carrying students to Pocklington’s Woldgate College was involved in a crash with a van after snow fell across the region this week.

The low-impact collision this morning (3 February) took place south of Bishop Wilton. No one was injured in the crash and a replacement vehicle took the children to Woldgate.

East Riding Council said it gritted just the major roads, which it refers to as the “precautionary network,” last night and early this morning. It began treating the “secondary network” and main pedestrian areas/footpaths later this morning.
