The village of Wilberfoss was awash with scarecrows at the weekend.
Visitors flocked to the village for the annual Wilberfoss Scarecrow Festival on Saturday and Sunday.
There were 38 scarecrows of Disney characters past and present on display. Many people wandered the village’s streets in search of the scarecrows.
A competition was held for people to guess the names of the scarecrows, which they found using maps available from Wilberfoss Community Centre.
A scarecrow of Captain Jack Sparrow was chosen as the ‘best scarecrow’. The festival raised more than £1,200 in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Wilberfoss Women’s Institute, and Wilberfoss Community Centre.
One of the organisers, Colin Butterfield, said: “It was a huge success. We had visitors coming from far and wide, including Nafferton and Selby.”
