Sainsbury’s in Pocklington names its new charity partner

Sainsbury’s in Pocklington have named the Special Care Baby Unit at York Hospital, as their local charity partner for the coming year.

The charity has helped and supported a lot of the mums and families who work in the store and was a clear favourite among staff.

Last year the charity Hearing Dogs For Deaf People was given over £5,400 by Sainsbury’s and the Store are hopeful of raising a similar fundraising success over the next 12 months.

Fundraising for the Special Care Baby Unit will begin at Pocklington’s Summer Event on 27 July when Sainsbury’s will be hiring a stall, having a Jar Tombola and games like hook-a-duck.
