The doors have opened to a new care home in Pocklington.

The first residents have arrived at the William Wilberforce residential home, on West Green, which overlooks the airfield.

The facility can accommodate up to 50 residents and will create at least 26 new jobs for Pocklington.

Resident Margaret Price, 79, had the honour of cutting the ribbon on Friday (6 December).
