Pocklington Camera Club held its annual competition at the end of December.

The competition looked for the best digital image, best printed image and from those entered the best overall photograph is selected. The judge was Ed Openshaw who had to trawl through almost 200 images.

The winner of the best digital image was Annette Field with ‘About to be drenched’.

The winner of best printed image was Janet Pogson with ‘Butterfly on Lavender’.

Janet also won best overall photograph with ‘Butterfly on Lavender’. As a result of this Janet was also awarded the prize for the most improved photographer of the year.

Newcomers to the Yorkshire Coast Photographic Group, Pocklington ran out winners in a close fought contest that was judged by local freelance photographer Paul Atkinson. Pocklington Camera Club only joined the group in 2015 and in its first year has won the Bell Trophy.
