Railway set to gauge Wolds storytellers

Fantastic Books Publishing and the Yorkshire Wolds Railway are on track to launch a new short story competition.

The railway opens its 2016 season on Sunday 1 May at Fimber Halt.

At the opening, the Fantastic Yorkshire Wolds Railway Short Story Competition will be unveiled at 1pm by Fantastic Books’s CEO, Dan Grubb, and railway board member Richard Dixon.

Mr Dixon said: “The short story competition is a new venture for us. We’re grateful to Fantastic Books for donating their expertise.”

Story, no more than 1,500 words, must include some aspect of the Yorkshire Wolds region and the Malton and Driffield Railway.
