Railway roofers

A Driffield company has played its part in helping to protect a popular piece of North Yorkshire heritage.

Dodds Roofing Services, Kelleythorpe Industrial Estate, has completed the restoration of the roof at the Pickering railway station, the home of the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway. During a six-week project, the team from Dodds laid more than 16,000 Penryn Welsh slates tiles fixed with 32,000 copper nails to bring the roof back to its original glory.
