A Vintage Tea Party raised hundreds of pounds for charity last Saturday.

During the event, held at Burnby Hall Rooms, visitors enjoyed tea, coffee, cake and pastries. There was also a tombola and a stall selling books and soft toys.

The tea party raised £538 for the PSP Association, a charity dedicated to supporting people with the rare degenerative brain disease PSP, and the related disease Cortico Basal Degeneration (CBD), and those who care for them.

Among those who attended were PSP patients and carers, family and friends of those with the disease.

PSP fundraiser Michael Shepherd, who organised the event, said: “It went very well indeed.

“The place was full of people.”

The next PSP support meeting in Pocklington will be on 14 September at Burnby Hall Rooms.
