An event which saw 12 local artists exhibit their work to the public this month was marred after directional signs to the venues were removed three times.
One of the artists who took part in Pocklington Area Open Studios - Gerry Grant, of Fangfoss - believes the seven venues across the local area probably received fewer visitors than they would have if the temporary signs placed around the village of Wilberfoss had not been removed.
The event, held as part of the national Craft & Design Month May 2013, took place from Saturday 4 to Monday 6 May.
Mr Grant, 61, who lives in Fangfoss, who put up signs all around the local area, says he had to replace the signs in Wilberfoss twice, once on the Friday before the event and again the next day.
