Pocklington Future Group is set to present its long awaited vision of the town’s future to Pocklington Town Council next week.
The group which has gathered views and information from local residents and community groups since the end of 2011, will outline its findings at Wednesday’s full council meeting.
The group’s Community Led Plan incorporates views on the town centre, housing and development, the local economy, traffic, youth issues, parking and much more.
Earlier this year the group praised the public response to its community consultation event at Pocklington Arts Centre.
If the Community Led Plan is adopted by the council it will be used to form the town council’s Neighbourhood Development Plan, which will be presented to East Riding Council and consulted in any future development of Pocklington.
Garth Newton, member of Pocklington Future Group, said: “We have had a great response. We hope that residents and the council will identify with our vision.
“I’m absolutely staggered by the quality of the document and I’m confident the town council will adopt it.”
The Community Led Plan will be presented to the public at the Arts Centre on 29 June and will also appear on the Pocklington Town Council website.
