A Pocklington-based band have described their delight when they found out they would be performing at one of the country’s biggest festivals.
Grinny Grandad will be performing at Glastonbury this year alongside acts such as Coldplay, Adele and Muse.
The three members of the band, Alanna Cowley, Jonny Smith and Chris Morton, are “over the moon” to be playing at the prestigious festival.
Chris said: “I can’t believe it , I’m in shock, I wasn’t sure if it was a joke.
“We’re over the moon and we can’t wait to perform.
“We are rehearsing and we have a few EPs to come out with the festivals. Hopefully it will be televised on BBC3 online – that will be great.”
Grinny Grandad play their electric-styled music live covering a wide range of styles from swing to dubstep.
