Nature-loving kids will have the chance to see how a popular Pocklington attraction is helping wild birds find somewhere snug and safe to stay.

On 18 February the team at Burnby Hall Gardens will be installing new nest boxes, supplied by Pocklington U3A, to coincide with ‘National Nest Box Week’.

Joining them on the day will be staff from RSPB Bempton Cliffs on Yorkshire’s East Coast who have offered advice on the types of boxes needed and where best to site them.

In next week’s (29 January) people’s paper.
