PLANS to build a skatepark in Pocklington have moved a step closer after the town council submitted a planning application recently.

The council, in partnership with Pocklington Play Area Group, has aimed to install a facility for young skateboarders, rollerbladers and BMX riders to use on the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Fields, in West Green, for some time.

The application to East Riding Council is for full planning permission and the date of Wednesday 1 May has been set for a decision to be made.
