Acclaimed pianist Emmanuel Vass is tuning up for a fundraising recital at Castle Howard near York next week.

Emmanuel, 24, who is originally from Melbourne but now lives in Manchester, is holding the recital on Friday 11 October in aid of York Against Cancer, a charity close to his heart.

The concert comes at the end of a demanding national tour, which took Emmanuel to eight venues across the north of England, from Hull to Liverpool, and culminated in the pianist’s London debut.

Former Woldgate College pupil Emmanuel is calling the recital ‘From Bach to Bond’, a title it shares with his debut CD.

He said: “I absolutely love Castle Howard, and I cannot wait to perform in such a beautiful and majestic setting. “It is always a privilege to be doing it for charitable causes, and York Against Cancer is one very close to my heart.”

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are £15 and available to purchase online only at www.emmanuelvass.co.uk. Follow Emmanuel on Twitter @MannyVass.
