Over 60 photographs by local artists have been put on display at East Riding Community Hospital as part of a fortnight-long exhibition.
The prints, including landscape images and abstract photographs, are by members of Viewfinder Photographic Society and were installed in the hospital last Tuesday.
Peter Smith, secretary of the club, said: “I think it is just something extra for the visitors to have if they have to wait they can spend a few minutes browsing through the photographs. They just brighten the place up.”
The exhibition was arranged after club committee member Andrew Chandler suggested the idea to the group, following their annual display in October at Skidby Village Hall.
“I do not think I have come across something like it before,” said Mr Smith, who said the exhbition is open until Monday 18 November.
Chairman David Marshall said: “Our exhibition has grown in popularity each time it’s held in Skidby, so taking it on the road seems like the natural thing to do and we’re really grateful to the hospital for hosting our members’ work – hopefully, it’s the first of many.”
The hospital is open from 8.30am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday, and 11am to 5pm on weekends.
