Pedestrian injured by reversing car

A pedestrian suffered back, head and rib injuries after he was knocked off his feet by a reversing car.

The incident happened at around 1pm outside the Co-op in Stamford Bridge. The 74-year-old victim stepped out from behind cars parked on double yellow lines and a vehicle reversed.

The driver of the black BMW estate car initially stopped, but is said to have left the area without leaving his details.

He is described as white, in his 60s, with grey receding hair, 5ft 7ins tall and of slight build. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting WB 44026/15.
